'yeah, i'm focusing for 12+ hours when studying!'
Hi;
I heard a lot of words like: "I'm studyinf for 12+ hours and I'm productive ASF", and everyone is founding it's okay... But it's not okay at all.
Why?
Because studying for more then 3-4 hours is useless (it's individual, but more then 5+ is not okay). Your, my and everyone else's brain can be productive no more then 2-3 hours on serious tasks. After this, brain will remember things, but not that good. Fatigue building and new information taking a place in your brain not so good. Also, I bet, people who studying 12+ hours straight doesn't get enough sleep, which is major too: when you are asleep, your brain digesting all info and remembering it;
How to study right then?
Divide your tasks by block:
- 40 minutes for math;
- 20 for English;
- 40 for CS; And take ACTUALL break between sessions: walking, stretching, drink water. DON'T SCROLL YOUR PHONE. Your brain will not rest like this!
Take care! (I'll update this post.)
